A restoration that respects the original
The E24 635 CSi raced at the very top of Group A competition throughout the 1980s. GDM Motorsport honours that heritage through painstaking attention to period detail, combined with the structural integrity and safety standards demanded by modern competition.
We start with a 635 CSi to be restored. The car is completely stripped, and the bodywork stripped of paint and cleared of all rust. Subsequently, the bodywork is neatly rebuilt with new sheet metal parts and reinforcements where permitted by FIA regulations. A FIA-spec roll cage completes the structural modifications.
Once all welding work is completed, the bodywork is treated multiple times for optimal protection against paint damage and rust.
