The Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 belongs to what many enthusiasts and collectors regard as the golden age of GT3 racing. During the 2010s, GT3 evolved into the world's premier customer racing category, attracting leading manufacturers such as Aston Martin, Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW, Lamborghini and McLaren. Introduced for the 2012 season, the Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 was developed by Aston Martin Racing as the successor to the successful DBRS9.
