GDM Motors Shines at Le Mans Classic 2025 – Where Heritage Meets Innovation
The 2025 edition of Le Mans Classic once again proved to be a celebration of motorsport history, passion, and timeless engineering. Among the standout participants, GDM Motors captured the spotlight—not only for their remarkable performance on the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe, but also for their forward-thinking approach to sustainable racing.
This year’s event, held under glorious summer skies, brought together a breathtaking collection of classic racing machines, lovingly preserved and fearlessly driven. GDM Motors returned with an iconic fleet spanning several decades of endurance racing history. From their meticulously built 1974 Porsche 911 RSR Turbo to the thunderous Group C entries of the 1980s and 1990s, GDM’s cars were not just showpieces—they were contenders.
In the Porsche Classic race, Guillaume Dumarey delivered a commanding performance, finishing 4th overall, behind a much more powerful Porsche 917 two Porsche 935s. A deserved podium place slipped away due to an unexpected safety car intervention, followed by the race being flagged off.
In Group C we lined up two cars, with legendary race driver Marc Duez at the wheel of the Porsche 962C, while Dumarey Group founder and CEO, Guido Dumarey, brought out the unique Spice-TIGA GC285, demonstrating that legacy and performance can coexist at the highest level.
Yet beyond the roar of engines and the scent of warm tarmac, GDM Motors quietly pushed the boundaries of sustainable technology. In collaboration with leading researchers and fuel developers, the team ran on a cocktail of traditional race-gasoline and next-generation synthetic fuel, developed to mirror the combustion properties of traditional fuels while drastically reducing carbon emissions. This experimental program, still in its early stages, marks a pivotal step toward aligning classic motorsport with future mobility goals.
“Le Mans Classic is where history lives and breathes,” said Guido Dumarey. “But we believe that even history can evolve. Our use of synthetic fuel is not just about environmental responsibility—it’s about ensuring these machines continue to race for decades to come.”
The move has drawn quiet attention from both peers and organizers, suggesting that Le Mans Classic might not only preserve racing’s golden age but also lead the way in sustainable innovation.
As the engines cool and the grandstands empty, one thing is clear: GDM Motors didn’t just race this year—we inspired.
