GDM finished the season finale of the Nürburgring Endurance Series with 2 podiums
The season finale of the ADAC Nürburgring endurance series is behind GDM. The racing team brought an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and a GT4 car from the British manufacturer to the start. After a challenging year, the team showed its full potential.
Adam Christodoulou, who won the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring in 2016, Nico Bastian and Marek Böckmann took their place at the wheel of the GT3. With starting number #17, the three drivers were involved in the battle for the top spots over the entire four-hour race distance.
One of the highlights of the race was Nico Bastian’s double overtaking maneuver at the end of the Döttinger Höhe against the two leaders, which allowed the Aston Martin with starting number #17 to temporarily take the lead.
At the end of the race, the vehicle was waved off in third position. For the first time in this year’s endurance season at the Nürburgring, GDM was able to achieve a podium result in the overall standings.
In the SP8T class, the father-and-son team of Guido and Maxime Dumarey drove an Aston Martin Vantage GT4. The duo impressed with fast lap times and a flawless performance and narrowly missed out on class victory. The two Belgians finished the season in second place in their class.
