20 Apr 2022

A comprehensive race weekend lies ahead for Punch Racing with two cars in action.

Punch Racing has an extensive race weekend ahead of it.

PROsport racing team will compete in both the ADAC GT4 Germany at Oschersleben and the 53rd Adenauer ADAC Rundstrecken-Trophy of the Nürburgring Endurance Series.

In the Magdeburger Börde, the team will compete with two Aston Martin Vantage GT4 cars. Local hero Hugo Sasse, who celebrated his 18th birthday in the week before the race, will share a car with Mike David Ortmann. After celebrating three victories in the ADAC GT4 Germany in 2021, the two drivers now want to attack the title win. In the sister car, Yevgen Sokolovskiy will start with Christopher Röhner, who made his debut in motor racing in the ADAC TCR Germany in 2021 and was able to finish all four of his races in the top 10. Together with the drivers from near Chemnitz, Sokolovskiy, a Ukrainian living in Düsseldorf, wants to fight for the title in the Trophy classification.

The two one-hour races in the Magdeburger Börde will take place on Saturday at 15:35 and on Sunday at 14:40. The ADAC GT4 Germany 2022 races can be viewed free of charge on the high-reach platform sport.de and on adac.de/motorsport.

After NLS2 had to be postponed to November two weeks ago due to weather conditions, the Nürburgring Endurance Series will continue after the involuntary forced break 53rd Adenauer ADAC Rundstrecken-Trophy. PROsport Racing will again compete there with four cars.

There is a special premiere to celebrate at PROsport Racing during the race. Reema Juffali, the first female racer from Saudi Arabia, will start for the team from Wiesemscheid. Juffali has been active in various racing series around the world in recent years and last drove the 24h Dubai in a Mercedes-AMG GT3 in early 2022. Together with PROsport Racing, she will work on her Nordschleife permit and drive a Porsche Cayman from the V5 class together with Emil Heyerdahl. Simon Balcaen and Didier Glorieux will pilot the team’s second Permit Porsche Cayman, which will start in the VT3 class.

In addition, the team’s two Aston Martin Vantage, which are very popular with fans around the Nordschleife, will start. Maxime Dumarey and Jean Glorieux take turns at the wheel of the Aston Martin Vantage GT3, which PROsport Racing entered for the first time at the season opener. In its second race at the Nordschleife, the team aims to continue gathering important experience and data with the car. Guido Dumarey and the Swiss Alexander Walker will start in the SP10 class, which is for homologated GT4 cars, with a Vantage GT4.

As usual, the race will start at 12 noon on Saturday, with qualifying taking place beforehand from 08:30. Fans at home can follow the race in the official livestream at www.vln.de. For €18 admission, spectators can also watch the race on site. This not only takes them to the open grandstands at the Grand Prix circuit and the exclusive spectator areas Brünnchen and Pflanzgarten, but also to the paddock, the pit lane and the starting grid.
