Season preparation under racing conditions in GT Winter Series

4 Feb 2023

At the remaining four race weekends in the GT Winter Series, GDM Racing is preparing for the upcoming season under racing conditions and will bring up to five cars to the start.

In preparation for the 2023 racing year, GDM and PROsport Racing is shifting up a gear and will contest the remaining four race weekends of the GT Winter Series in Spain. In the race series organized by GEDLICH Racing, the team from Wiesemscheidt will field four vehicles – and even five bolides at the penultimate race weekend on the northern Spanish circuit in Navarra. The familiar GT3 and GT4 versions of the Aston Martin Vantage will be used, as well as the Porsche Cayman from the V5 class familiar from the Nürburgring Endurance Series as a “driving school car”.

A colorful mix of drivers will take their seats in the cockpits. Partly very young drivers will start, who will experience their racing license with PROsport Racing in the GT Winter Series. In addition, some drivers will prepare with PROsport Racing in Spain for their upcoming GT4 programs with the team from Wiesemscheid. Finally, most of the drivers competing with PROsport Racing in the Nürburgring Endurance Series will compete in the GT Winter Series in preparation for the season. The team will announce the complete driver line-up on social media platforms shortly before the race weekends.

“We are delighted to be able to prepare for the upcoming racing season under racing conditions in the GT Winter Series,” says team boss Chris Esser. “Actually, it was our planning that we can determine our final driver line-up in the ADAC GT4 Germany through the races in the GT Winter Series, but this planning was unfortunately denied to us by the rule change of the ADAC, which is of course not in our and especially not in the interest of the drivers.”
